I’m thinking there’s probably a reason I’ve never heard the autistic people I interact with use the term “Kanner’s Syndrome.”

Huh? Does anyone say that, for any reason, ever?

A self-identified Aspie I was talking to…

I’ve known non-AS autistic people who believed it was vitally important too. To a one, they had no concept of who Kanner actually observed (hint: overall most of his original patients could easily get misdiagnosed with AS today, or at least would be considered HFA) and liked to play lower functioning than thou games. Note: These were people who believed it was vitally important. Not just people who used the term.
