I feel like nobody really liked Neville until he got hot. I never heard of him being anyone’s “favorite character” until after HPP1 and HPP2. I can understand liking him for his courageous acts (although many other characters also displayed courage), but I feel like this is just an excuse because they can’t say he’s their favorite because he suddenly got extremely good looking.

Oh, he was my favorite from almost the very beginning because he was much more relatable for me than the trio were. He always seemed to be kind of the outcast and that was kind of me growing up, too.

He was mine too. And friends told me I actually looked a little like him from the first movie. I immediately identified with the situation where his friends taught him to stand up to people but then went “Not to US!” the moment I stood up to them about something. (I’ve never seen the difference but I’ve gotten so much crap for that.)

Then my mom compared adolescent!me to Luna, and… have to say I see the resemblance there too (not so much now, but oh boy back then… wow) but Neville is still my favorite.
