This is another example of something Fey doesn’t like me to do sometimes. She only gets this way about my laptop and my iPad. I can take the computer away, move my hand to the exact same places, and forgo the tail lashing, scratching, and biting. In this video she actually grabs me with her claws and pulls me back to her so she can bite me. The grabbing isn’t obvious on camera until I start trying to pull free. I don’t know why she gets this way but I’ve ruled out it being anything about the position and movements of my arms in relation to her eyes or body. It’s quite definitely something about the laptop and iPad. Again (as with so many cattish things) I’m baffled.
No, cat, I do not want to snuggle with you while you sit there lashing your tail and try to bite me if I move my arm. Don’t act SURPRISED over this, or offended when I ask you to leave.
Fey has never liked me to vocalize much. When I could still talk she especially hated it and frequently tried to bite my throat to get me to stop. This video shows a common response to my vocalization. I make a sound and she thrashes her tail around. She doesn’t act like this with other people. Only me. My theories have ranged from things as simple as her not liking something about how my voice sounds, to as complex as her being aware that I should not communicate orally. She’s perceptive enough it could be any of the above. But I don’t really know the reason at all. Any ideas?

Fey, right now. But this time I’m not going to go away from the bipap to figure out if the problem is water in the wrong sink again.
